Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the booking process, what you need when collecting your vehicle, and how this service works in Albania.

How does the booking process work?

You search for your dates and location, compare available vehicles from local operators, and reserve online. An advance payment secures your booking. The remaining balance - if any - is paid directly to the rental company according to the terms in your voucher. You receive a confirmation email with all pick-up instructions and the operator's contact details.

What documents do I need to collect the vehicle?

Bring your printed or mobile voucher, a full valid driving licence held for the minimum period stated in your confirmation, passport or national ID, and a credit card in the main driver's name. Some operators accept debit cards - check your voucher. An International Driving Permit may be required if your licence uses non-Latin script.

Can I modify or cancel my booking?

Changes depend on the rate you selected and how far in advance you request them. Contact us by email at [email protected] or phone +355 69 240 7311 during office hours (Mon-Sun 8:00 - 18:00 CET). Some rates allow free cancellation up to a certain number of days before pick-up; others may have stricter terms. Full conditions are in your booking confirmation.

What are the minimum age and driving experience requirements?

Most operators require drivers to be at least 21 years old with a licence held for one year. Younger drivers or those with less experience may face restrictions or additional fees. Certain vehicle categories - SUVs, vans, luxury models - often set the bar at 23 or 25 years and two years' experience. Your voucher will state the exact requirements for your chosen vehicle.

How does the fuel policy work?

The standard arrangement is full-to-full: you collect the vehicle with a full tank and return it full. This way you only pay for fuel you actually use at the pump. Major chains include Kastrati, Gulf, and A1. Return the vehicle with less fuel than collected and you'll pay a refuelling charge plus a service fee; rates vary by operator and are listed in your rental agreement.

Can I drive to neighbouring countries?

Cross-border travel to Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Greece is often permitted, but you must request authorisation at booking and may need a Green Card insurance extension. The operator will confirm in your voucher whether each country is allowed and whether extra fees apply. Some vehicle categories - premium or commercial models - may be restricted to Albania only.

Are ferry crossings allowed?

The Sarande-Corfu ferry (around 30 minutes) is generally allowed if you've requested Greece cover. Always inform the rental company in advance; insurance must extend to ferry transit and you'll need the vehicle registration documents on board. Other Adriatic crossings - to Italy, for example - typically require written permission and longer processing times.

What if I have a problem during my rental?

Your voucher includes the local operator's emergency contact number and roadside assistance details. For breakdowns or accidents, call the operator first; they arrange recovery or a replacement vehicle according to your rental agreement. For questions about your booking itself - billing, extensions, documentation - contact us at [email protected] or +355 69 240 7311 during office hours.
